One week in May and two in September, with the sun shining on our helmets every day, giving us the pleasure of always riding in pleasant weather. Want to know how it went? Hear it from our friend Roger, one of the participants in the May tour:

The Total Tuscan Experience is a wonderful way to see Tuscany. The Villa and accommodations are first rate, the guides are amazing and the daily routes and sights makes this a really special tour. It’s a great way to take in the countryside while getting to see the most iconic spots and quite a lot of lesser-known gems. The Total Tuscan Experience is an ideal choice for anyone looking to explore Tuscany’s heart and soul while enjoying top-notch accommodations and expert guidance. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking an unforgettable Italian adventure.”

Day 3 – San Gimignano, Volterra and Monteriggioni

Riding on sweet Tuscan hills we first visited the impressive medieval town of San Gimignano, famous for its towers, and then Volterra, a fantastic town founded 500 years BC! After lunch, another fantastic road took us to Monteriggioni, a small hamlet on top of a hill which is a perfect example of the small Tuscan medieval towns.

Day 4 – Val d’Orcia

A great day with amazing landscapes riding across Val d’Orcia, probably the most beautiful area of Tuscany and part of UNESCO World Heritage! We visited cute places such as Montalcino where the “Brunello” wine is from, the Sant’Antimo Abbey, the wonderful little town of Bagno Vignoni, famous for the thermal waters and for last Pienza, a fantastic place with one of the best pecorino cheese of the world! And then a homemade “pizza party” at the villa.

Day 5 – Rest day – Wine tasting and cooking class

A very relaxing day! No bikes but a comfortable Mercedes minivan to visit some nearby wineries and taste great wines of the Chianti and have lunch. Luckily we didn’t have to ride so we just focused on the wine! In the afternoon, time to relax at the villa and then our cooking class with our chef Simone! Obviously our dinner was the result of our work.

We first visited the stunning city of Siena, then went to the ancient Abbey of San Galgano, famous for the original and authentic sword in the stone, placed there as a sign of peace by its owner, Friar Galgano, upon his return from the Crusades. Our last stop of the day was Massa Marittima, a stunning town close to the seaside, and then we took another winding road back to the villa.
